Welcome to BarTay's Welsh Springer Spaniels and Gordon Setters. I
started out in dogs over 30 years ago with a Gordon Setter named Barney.
After taking him to an obedience class I was hooked a
nd
started showing him in obedience. When he became ill, I
knew I had to have a Gordon in my life and I acquired my second gordon, Taylor . By
now I was interested in showing in conformation and Taylor became
my first AKC Champion. Taylor also earned his CD and CDX obedience
titles. For those paying attention you now see where my kennel
name came from; my first two Gordons - the first half for Barney
and t
he second half for Taylor.
In 2004 I acquired my first Welsh Springer Spaniel looking for a little
smaller dog to show and compete with. Walker has been everything I
could have wanted. He has since been joined by Fern and their
daughter Willow.
My dogs are first and foremost my pets. I breed only occasionally
and with special emphasis on health and temperament.
